American Animal Care Center is open 7 days a week. We have many veterinarians and staff members available to care for your pets. We are equipped with diagnostic radiology (digital x-rays), an in-house diagnostic laboratory, endoscope and ultrasound machines, full dental services, tonometry, and a ICU.
We regularly treat dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and rats.
Being a large group practice gives us many advantages. Many of our veterinarians have received additional training in areas of special interests. As a result, we have doctors available to perform ultrasound and endoscopic examinations, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries and care for exotic animal species. A group practice also means we have built in consultants; often multiple doctors will be thinking about and working on your pet's case. When needed, we also consult with local specialists in internal medicine, surgery, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology and dermatology.
American Animal Care Center was voted best veterinary hospital in 2006, 2008, and 2009. We were awarded the Small Business of the Year in 2009 for the 20th assembly district. We were recognized in Sacramento by the governor and our Assembly Member.
Please call for an appointment. We are open for scheduled appointments 9 am to 10 pm weekdays and weekends. Emergencies are handled 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
